All that wants to do is keep installing the same download manager and never downloads the actual program. Problem is it is a "download manager" and not the actual program. Smith Micro sent me a link to download the newer version. Just make sure a refund is possible then consider Blender and MakeHuman which are totally free, more powerful.but much harder to learn. But I suspect that these are common problems that Smith Micro has never really resolved in any of their releases.

Since update to Win 10 this will not even load. Not sure an upgrade will fix the problem because several forums indicate that even the top of the line version has problems with the library not loading.Ī wiser publisher would not tie themselves to the whims of Adobe to make their product function. While waiting on a reply from Smith Micro I have tried all of their published "solutions" to this problem but none of them work. In this case the Libraries that include all the figures ( kinda necessary, right? ) simply don't work. Not sure what the problem is but having had poser in the past ( as a reseller ) I can say that install problems have not been uncommon for Poser products. It's slightly more expensive than a wooden manikin, but much more useful and flexible than one. I wouldn't buy the more expensive versions, though. Adding old Poser models from a version I had from 7-8 years ago went okay, once I figured out where to put them. 5 stars for that.Īs 3D models, they all look about 4-5 years out of date. They have normal 8-head models, a couple of 6-head models, and some weird shaped models for variety.
The models are all good enough as manikins.
(Which is what I want as someone who's just using this as a digital wooden manikin.) I have other programs that do similar stuff, with much more complicated control schemes, so 5 stars on the controls. The controls are simple and easy to figure out. I don't have any interest in using this for 3D animation, or in their aftermarket figures/models/etc. I've been trying to find a way to have a manikin handy for drawing, and I figured I would try Poser again. It took a while to download, but it installed okay.
